About the deskbar
The deskbar, located in the MS Windows taskbar, is part of the Copernic Desktop Search package. It integrates with your desktop to provide quick and permanent access to powerful searching. It can be used for Internet or desktop searches.
Web searching: Performing simultaneous searches on multiple search engines in various domains of interest, the deskbar allows you to explore more of the Web than any single search engine.
Desktop searching: Use the deskbar as the entry point to your PC. No need to open a different program to look for each kind of file; the deskbar allows you to search for files, music, pictures, videos, emails, contacts, favorites/bookmarks and history items.
The deskbar is always available with a single click or a useful key combination, such as the default Windows key + S, from any application. It features the following items:
Keyword box: Enter keywords in this text box. You can also use various search operators to refine your searches. However, for Web searches, you can use only the specific query syntax of the selected search engine.
Deskbar window: As you type in keywords, it automatically submits your query and opens the deskbar window to display the desktop search results, by categories. It also displays the desktop search categories and a link to look for your keyword on the Web.
