Refine a search with advanced fields

  1. Perform the query.

  2. In the Refine Search section, type keywords in the desired text boxes. You can use search operators, such as Boolean operators, parentheses and quotation marks, or select parameters in the available drop-down lists. You can also click the down arrow to choose terms in the search history when available.

  3. Click the search button or hit the Enter key.

Finds music files containing the specified keywords in the Artist field.

Finds contacts containing the specified keywords in the Company field.

Date

Find items that were created or modified: Today, Yesterday, This week, This month, This year.
Is (specify a date): Finds files that were created or modified on the specified date. After (specify a date), Before (specify a date), Between (specify two dates).

NOTE: This week, month and year refer to civil week, month and year and NOT the past week, month or year.
The default choice Any means that the date is not a filtering factor.

Dimensions

Any: irrespective of file dimension.
Small: smaller than or equal to 100x100.
Medium: between 100x100 and 600x600.
Large: larger than 600x600.

Picture

Email Address

Finds contacts containing the specified keywords in the Email Address field.

File Name

Finds documents containing the specified keywords in the name of the file.

File Type

To find documents of a specific file format, click the desired format in the list or type the extension in the text box. The default choice Any means that the file type is not a filtering factor.

Folder

Type the complete path or browse to the selected folder.

Finds email messages that are located in the selected folder. The default choice Any means that the location is not a filtering factor.

Find email messages from a specific person or group.

Genre

Finds music files containing the specified keywords in the Genre field.

Importance

Finds email messages that are tagged as Low, Normal or High priority, depending on your selection. The default Any choice means that the Importance field is not a filtering factor.

Size

Any: Finds any file irrespective of the file size.
Small: Finds files that are less than 100 KB.
Medium: Finds files that are at least 100 KB but less than 1 MB.
Large: Finds files that are more than 1 MB.
Specify size: Finds files that are at least or at most the specified number of KB.

Subject

Finds email messages containing the specified keywords in the Subject field.
