Copernic Desktop Search 1.5 Overview
Copernic Desktop Search is a software that indexes
files, emails, images, videos, audios, contacts,
favorites and so on saved on your PC, including
network drives, and conducts sub-second desktop
searches with high relevant results.
It also allows you to search the Web for sites,
news, products and so on using predefined categories.
It offers direct and integrated desktop and Web
search capabilities within the Microsoft Windows
operating system. It is bundled with a search deskbar
located on the Windows taskbar providing quick
and one-entry permanent access to powerful desktop
and Web searching.
Copernic Desktop Search is always available with
a single click. It offers non-obtrusive, integrated
entry-points into your operating system:

.PAS, .XML, .XSL documents. Certain file
properties only are also indexed by default for
these additional text files: GZ, HLP, RAR, SWF, TAR, VSD.
- Emails: Outlook 2000/XP/2003, Outlook Express 5.x/6.x, Eudora
5.0 and Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0 emails
and attachments.
- Music: Indexing of metadata for iTunes, MP3,
OGG, WMA and WAV music files.
- Pictures: Indexing of metadata for EXIF, JPEG,
GIF picture files.
- Videos: Indexing of metadata for MPEG, QuickTime and
Windows Media video files.
- Favorites/Bookmarks: The browser favorites
or bookmarks (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox,
Mozilla or Netscape 6x./7.x/8.x).
- History: The browser history (Internet Explorer, Mozilla
Firefox, Mozilla or Netscape 6x./7.x/8.x).
- Contacts: Outlook 2000/XP/2003 (including Exchange
Server), Outlook Express 5.x/6.x, Windows Address Book
and Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0 contacts.
