Main Window Overview - Pictures Category
The Pictures category allows you to search
for various types of picture files that are stored
on your PC, namely files from any locations that
you specified in the Options window. CDS
supports full metadata indexing for these file
formats: GIF Image (.gif), JPEG Image (.exif,
.jpg, .jpeg).
The
following picture file formats are also indexed
by default but as a reference only, meaning
that only the file information is indexed (file
information refers to the file name, size (in
bytes), modified date and folder containing the
document): .bmp, .cgm, .dib, .gif, .ico, .jfif,
.jpe, .mac, .pct, .pcx, .pic, .pict, .png, .pnt,
.pntg, .psd, .qti, .qtif, .rp, .tif, .tiff, .xbm.

Performing
Searches
The Search for section lets you
enter a query in a search box and refine
it using the available search field.
- Type the query terms in the keyword
box, or click the down arrow and choose
terms in the search history. Use search operators, such as Boolean operators, parentheses and quotation marks
to refine your query.
- Click the search button
 or
hit the Enter key (not required).

If the search fields are hidden, click Show
Options. Available fields are: Date and Dimensions.
- To find picture files that were created
or modified on a precise day or between
specified time limits, choose one of
these options in the Date field
list:
- Any: Finds any picture file irrespective of the creation or modification
date.
- Today: Finds picture files that were created or modified today.
- Yesterday: Finds picture files that were created or modified yesterday.
- This week: Finds picture files that were
received or sent this week.
- This month: Finds picture files that were
received or sent this month.
- This year: Finds picture files that were
received or sent this year.
- Is (specify a date): Finds files that were created or modified on the specified date.
- After (specify a date): Finds files that were created or modified
after the specified date.
- Before (specify a date): Finds files that were created or modified before the specified date.
- Between (specify two dates): Finds files that were created or modified between the two specified dates.

To
find a picture file of specific dimensions,
choose among the following choices
of the Dimensions field list:
Any: Finds any picture file irrespective of file dimension. Small: Finds small picture files (smaller than or equal to 100x100). Medium: Finds medium picture files (smaller than or equal to 600x600). Large: Finds large picture files (larger than 600x600).
